Healthy Active Living

The Healthy Active Living Department at RBHS encourages students to take responsibility for their own fitness and health.  It is the program’s goal to promote, through a variety of enjoyable activities, a lifelong healthy lifestyle.  Students who take Healthy Active Living throughout their high school career can be involved in a variety of different sports and athletic experiences.  Our health programs deal with such relevant issues as healthy sexuality, use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.  Nutrition and body image are also explored, giving the students the skills to learn about making healthy decision.  Our grade 12 program emphasize lifelong recreational activities, leadership training and the ability to explore sports at a high level.

Through athletics, students have an opportunity to develop leadership, team building and social skills.  The Bateman Athletic Council is our athletic support group and is a great opportunity for community service hours and leadership opportunities.

More information about RBHS sports is available on the Sports page.
